These two little streamers are good imitations of small whitefish. I like to fish these small, un-weighted, streamers in the shallow edges at first light and as darkness comes or on overcast days. This is when the big browns move into the shallow water (That is adjacent to deeper refuge water) to hunt. Cast them right to the bank and work them with short twitches.

EZ Shape Sparkle Body is an amazing material developed as an alternative to epoxy. Originally used for salt water flies, EZ Shape Sparkle Body has many uses in fresh water flies as well. After tying in the wing material (tips extending forward) wrap the hook shank with holographic tinsel. Then, cover the tinsel with pearl Sparkle Body. A rotary vise helps, but is not necessary. Cover the tinsel completely with the Sparkle Body building a slight taper towards the head. Sparkle Body will not drip or sag, up to a point. If your Sparkle Body sags, just use your bodkin to remove some. Don't worry about making the body perfectly smooth. Sparkle Body will smooth itself out as it dries. The Sparkle Body will come out of the tube milky white. Then, as it dries it takes on the translucent appearance and the "sparkles" become visible. Sparkle Body will set-up in a few hours, but I like to let in cure over night.
